Safety When Installing Tube Fittings

• The system must not be bled by loosening a fitting or a fitting plug.
• Fittings should not be assembled (or disassembled) whilst the system is under pressure.
• Insure that the tube is properly “bottomed out” into the fitting.
• On initial installation, use the correct gap gauge to ensure the fitting has been pulled up the minimum distance.
• When using tapered threads use the correct thread sealants.
• Do not mix manufactures comments as this can lead to leakage.
• Remember, the nut must be turned not the fitting body.
• Unnecessary disassembly of competent must be avoided.
