Safety When Installing Tube Fittings
- The system must not be bled by loosening a fitting or a fitting plug.
- Fittings should not be assembled (or disassembled) whilst the system is under pressure.
- Insure that the tube is properly “bottomed out” into the fitting.
- On initial installation, use the correct gap gauge to ensure the fitting has been pulled up the minimum distance.
- When using tapered threads use the correct thread sealants.
- Do not mix manufactures comments as this can lead to leakage.
- Remember, the nut must be turned not the fitting body.
- Unnecessary disassembly of competent must be avoided.
